Sensedia Design System

Design system for enterprise SaaS app suite, built to scale the company’s product portfolio.

Designing products at Scale

Sensedia is a reference in APIs and Microservices in Brazil and offers integration tools that enable the creation of unique digital experiences to the biggest companies in the country.

With the opportunity to introduce new products to the market, Sensedia needed a design process that could guarantee scalability and agility in the process of interface creation for new applications.

I was responsible for creating and maintaining Sensedia's Design System, which brought a new visual identity to the products, flexible and reusable components, usability guidelines and technological standardization.

Keep Users on track

A recurrent feature in Sensedia's applications was the existence of sub tasks that should be performed along the flow of a main task

After carrying out tests on several prototypes, we defined that a dashboard with navigation in overlapping layers provides the necessary flexibility for the users to perform the various tasks, ensuring that they are always informed about where they are in the main flow.

Design with a single source of truth

Sensedia's Design system was implemented to become a single source of truth for the design and front end team, after its implementation three new products have been fully built using the new components and others are in the process of refactoring.

To make this possible, we built a detailed documentation with all code guidelines in React, and usability principles for the correct use of the components. The Design system brought much more agility and consistency to the engineering team in addition to facilitating the onboarding process for new members.
